I wanna know in your opinions what is the best Grain of point or broad head to shoot with a recurve. I am Shooting #55 at 28" my arrows are easton XX75 2016 aluminum.
Lots of different views on this subject. I like fairly heavy arrows. If I was pulling 55#, I would shoot an arrow/tip combination of at least 500 grains. Probably more like a 600 grain combination.
As Phil says, different views and ideas among trad shooters. it is a tuning process to determine which will fly best with your setup.
my setup with 5575 GTs: i weighted the inserts to 75 grs. i use a 125 gr field point, broadhead and blunts. carbons are stiffer and take more weight up front to weaken the spine to flex around the riser. if i dont weight the inserts, i use 200gr points.
