a ream of paper is about 3" thick at most that picture looked to be
at the most 3" thick, a ream of paper i believe is 100 sheets
so figure how tall that stack should be, then ask if the other stack is a bit exaggerated

I was guessing at height, but just proves on thing, the media will make things look worse than they are and fake what they can to make them look good rather than show actual proof,
Maybe not all media, but this one most definite, so I would more than likely take what they are saying to be a bit of stretch for truth and more to let me see how many i can fool

I believe it. Take your factory-wrapped, 3" tall ream of paper, then run it through a printer. It won't be 3" any more, regardless of how much you try to compress it.
