Caribbean island bbq'd wild turkey legs,thighs and wings with a side of island black beans over brown rice.....I thought of you all every single bite lol . never new these parts of the turkey could be so darn good.
Yep...slow cooker/crockpot is the key! Ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, worchestershire, crushed pineapple, red pepper flakes and a splash of liquid smoke for almost 11 hours on low.
Looks good. BBQ'ed some of my turkey legs too, but for sandwiches. I took the pulled meat out of the fridge and put in a big pan with some butter and heated it up while adding ketchup, maple syrup, molasses, vinegar, black pepper, red pepper, garlic powder, salt, and liquid hickory smoke. For me, the hickory smoke makes a BBQ sauce 10x better.
