Gonna use my Mosin Nagant 91-30 7.62x54. I don't handload for that caliber but, have some S&B 180 gr.
For backup I'm gonna use my Savage 110 .30-06. I normally use 150 gr. Hornady Interlock handloads but, I'm gonna try 180 gr. Interlocks this time.

Super standard Weatherby Vanguard in .308 win with 125gr-165gr hand loads depending on predator, whitetail, or long distance practice. Also shoots great subsonic with 168 & 220gr bullets. Love my .308!!

Since I bought this .308 (REC 10) I've found little need to carry anything else. Compact, maneuverable, but still rugged and precise.

I usually fire 1 shot each to check zero from half a dozen hand loaded calibers in prep for rifle season. I move them into the mechanical safe. (Not giving the electronic lock a chance to screw me) Unless I have a specific reason to vary, my go to is 30-06. I'll be carrying an SML until atleast Nov 28th.

The rifle I'm most excited to be taking to the woods this year is my new Ruger American Predator 308 Win. With it's 18" barrel it's the exact same length as my Marlin lever action but several ounces lighter. I've got good glass on it, too: a Nikon Monarch 3-9X40.
