Went to the pit today

Met and talked to the guy that lives on the land our pit is on.
Gave him about 100 bream fillets and talked for about 30 minutes.
Nice guy.
Don't have to worry about mice lol
Gonna fab up some shooting hole flaps this week then go mount them and pump it out next weekend.
Looking forward to this year.

We would always try and go down and hunt otter slough the week of thanksgiving when I was in college and slay them. Hopefully the new pit works out well! I miss hunting Missouri for ducks. Nothing like trying to draw out in the morning for 30 spots with 80 groups.

From 412 you go down NN all the way to the state line. We are West of NN, North of the state line.
I think the closest town is Steele.

I know a dude that's got a school bus sunk in the field right there. It's a little bit further up, near Hurd Loop. Great spot to hunt if the birds are flying.

I havent driven over it in a month, but very very dry.
