Went hunting again this morning.

We got our one woodie (drake for scn) :) cooked and ate them came home.

Really need some ducks.

Figure they will get here the same day I gotta go back to work.

I've never been duck hunting. Y'all need a blast of cold weather to the north of us to push them south, correct?

The overnight low has to freeze the water, leaving the duckies no safe place to roost. Then they split just far enough south to roost and find food.

This is why the snow goose conservation hunts are so popular. Hunters are so ticked at having so few birds they take it out on the snows. Also, kinda cool to have 4 in the tube and go BANGBANGBANGBANGBANG.

next week looks like we could get that push with the highs only getting above freezing for a few hours. Up north the temps should ice over most of the holes giving us some more ducks.

We need a major cold front bad,Im talkin single digits with snow.We all will kill them till it locks up then killem with the south wind warm up.It always does this in Feburary last decade but maybe it will be this year.
