Friday morning. First gobbled at 5:15, killed at 17 steps at 6:20. Have messed with him 3-4 times this year. Heard 4 other birds. 19.4#, 10" 1-1/4"

Went to another spot Saturday morning to get on another I've fooled with several times this season. He hammered right on que, got in tight & he gobbled a bunch. Matter of fact, he kept on gobbling after he hit the ground and walked straight away from me... Only bird I heard so spent rest of day working on plots.

Congrats! Fun times chasing them in May. From my experiences over the years in middle and west TN, May = old birds (older gobblers, better spurs, etc). It was really true before strutter decoys came on the scene. Thanks for sharing.
