I'm very optimistic about the defense.
The offense is a different story, though. It wouldn't surprise me if McBride ends up being the starting QB. Even though JG may be more athletic and have a stronger arm, McBride seemed to have a higher football IQ.
And I see Pruitt being a Saban clone, pre Hurts, as far as the offense not taking many chances to limit turnovers.

Doubtful. More likely there's still too much of Jones residue left, and he knows this year will be ugly and the QB will still be running for his life. So, he is actually pretty smart to transfer, sit out a year, albeit NOT getting injured, and then roll in to 2019.

Plus, word is he was told that he might be better off to move on.

From what I hear, more of a Pro Style, vertical passing game, uses fullback some. I feel like it is a pretty substantial staff. Im just looking forward to some no BS, disciplined football.
Pruitt won't put up with a lot of crap, but he doesn't get into hand holding and head petting of boosters, either. That may be difficult for some big names that run the show in Knoxville to stomach, as they are used to pandering and politics. I know a couple people who are in the know up there and some boosters are feeling slighted right now for not getting to call the shots. That's why I think that Fulmer was the right call for y'all at AD... whether he is a good long term AD remains to be seen.
