When I bought my Crestliner in 05, I had the option to get vinyl or carpet with no price difference. If I had it to do over, I would have went with vinyl. Vinyl does not stain, and keeps the noise level down just as well. Much more easy to clean too. Also when it gets wet in the winter, just wet vac and towel dry. And hooks don't somehow get lost in vinyl, only to be found by bare hands or feet. :) If not for cost and time involved, I would take up carpet and put down vinyl now. Vinyl don't look as good, but my boats a fishing boat, so looks don't matter so much. Just don't get black, because of the heat.

How is vinyl with heat? I have gray carpet in my boat and it gets hot enough to burn my feet (I like to fish barefoot).
