I've been sick with this chest cold for a couple days now, but that didn't stop me from doing my favorite hunting. I had 2 birds answer my Haint gobble call around 8:30am opening morning and it didn't take them long to come in with a few yelps. They hung up 15 yrds to the left of my blind, spitting and drumming, but I was hoping they would come in soon before I caughed up my lungs and blew the whole thing. One did and watch what happens.
God bless and everyone be safe and have a great turkey season.

Cool man! Were you set up close to the roost or were the birds silent till 8:30?

I setup my blind on the edge of the woodline next to the field where I have been seeing several longbeards during the day. Last week one of the gobblers was with about 7 hens. I think these 2 birds were run off and decided to check me out.
I really enjoyed messing around with the Haint gobble call. It just added a little more fun to calling in birds.
Thanks to all for the nice comments.
