The closest I've ever come to snow skiing was riding a old car hood pulled behind a 4x4 pickup..but it looks like we're going.. just wondering about these 2 places.. which would be best? Or are they both about the same?

It's been about 2 years since I have been to either one but at that time they'll was a lot more expensive but for a first-timer either one is great

Never been to Vail so can’t compare but went to Breckenridge In February 2016 and had a great time. First time snow skiing so we did private lessons. If you go this route be ready for sticker shock but I think it was worth it. It snowed while we were there and was everything I had envisioned.

They had the Olympics there for a reason. The skiing is awesome for anyone from beginner to pro.

I have only been to breck, and it was phenomenal. I'm sure most CO/UT ski resorts are comparable. You won't be disappointed

If this is your first time skiing, you should probably skip Breckenridge. Copper is just 20 or so minutes away and has far more beginner terrain.

Can't comment on Vail, never been there.

I’ll at least ask some questions before giving a suggestion.
- Is this a family vacation, couples or friends trip?
- does anyone else have experience? (I.e. do you need a mountain for all skill levels)
- is nightlife important? Or are you just there for skiing?
- are you set on CO or open to other areas?
