My new pistola came in yesterday. I read a ton of reviews and finally decided to get one. Don't really need it, just wanted one for years. I'm pretty impressed with the fit and finish of this firearm. The trigger breaks clean and is smooth. Now to load me up some .357 ammo.

I've got one just like it in 45 Colt and another 45 Colt with a brass grip frame. Mine both have smooth grips though. The Uberti's are amazingly good quality guns when you consider the price. Hard to justify a Colt, isn't it? Whether actually made by Colt or not, the old SAA feels better and more natural in my hand than any other handgun I've ever picked up. They are the perfect size and weight. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours! Do you shoot cast bullets? For me a reduced load with cast bullets is a great way to enjoy a single action even more.

I have wanted a Colt SAA for years, and just about bought one from a fellow on Arfcom. It was NIB, and I knew if I got it I wouldn't want to shoot it or even turn the cylinder.
This is my first Uberti SA but I am impressed with it so far. And I don't mind wearing the new off of it. I'm gonna try some different bullets when I reload for it. But I have never shot cast bullets. I'm sure I will try them sooner or later.

I'm holding my breath waiting for a copy of the New Frontier Colt with adjustable sights. If I could get one of those with a 5 1/2" barrel in 45 Colt, I'd be a happy shooter. Would also love to have a 7 1/2" 32-20 purely for fun. 5 grains of Red Dot powder and 110grain wheel weight bullets make for some real cheap shooting!

If/when I get a true Colt, it will have to be a New Frontier. I'd prefer a 45 Colt but with all the cylinder/bore dimensional problems that seems to plauge that cartridge, a 44 Special might be the best choice. I've agonized over this for 20 years... :)
