Turkey hunting public

Hey everyone, my dad and I want to try some public land for turkeys early next week. I'm not looking for anyone's honey holes. I was wondering if anyone would mind helping us make the decision on where we should generally focus on? We are open on traveling any where throughout the state. I've been told the west has better turkey hunting, but I've noticed the East has larger tracks of public land. Any help would be appreciated!

All of the large plots in the east have birds.

Use the hunters tool box to look at kill rates for tracts you are considering. This will tell you how many birds are killed a year and when. Like most public the weekdays are less crowded.
