Has anyone seen turkey eating young corn plants?

Had someone tell me they see turkey in fields and when the corn plants are about 2 or 3 inches tall the turkey will just walk along yanking the entire plant up and eating it?

I figure they will pretty much eat anything so I guess it could be true, just never seen it myself?

I've never seen it with corn, but most certainly have with beans. With turkeys nothing surprises me, I found a cigarette butt in ones crop a few years ago, not only was it bizarre but I can't imagine where it even found it.

I've seen it. When the plant is still young (3-4") the kernel is still at the base with the sprout growing out of it. They will pull it up and eat the kernel and drop the sprout.
