Hey guys I just got my Savage 212 turkey gun and trying to set it up. I have two guns already that shoot Indian Creek chokes and TSS great. For the Savage 212 which uses Win Choke threads Indian Creek only offers it in a .660 constriction. My other two chokes are .670 and .675 constriction. So my question is do you think a .660 is to tight and will blow my pattern out using Apex #9 3" 2.25 ounce load. Thanks for any feedback.

Yeah I love Indian Creek just wish they made more than one choke in .660 for the Win Choke threads. I would prefer a .670. I may call Indian Creek and see if they can make a special order. If not I might give William at Sumtoy a call.

I wouldn't want a .660 choke in 12G with TSS, especially 2 1/4 ounce shells. Indian Creek should special order, and now is the time to place your order. I've had them build me a few special order turkey chokes over the years. When I hunted with a 12G and TSS/lead blended loads, I shot a custom ordered Indian Creek in .680 constriction. It's was bad medicine further than I needed to shoot, while also being forgiving at 15-25 yards. Best of both worlds IMO. Good luck!

I would try a Carlson's tube, they are not expensive and seem to work well no matter which gun I put them in. With that being said all my guns are 20 gauge so I could be way off on this one. I guess I am just saying if I was using a 12 the Carlson would be the first thing I would try after seeing them in so many different 20 gauge shotguns. I like the more open pattern !

Yeah I am calling them on Monday to order a .675 constriction. My Mossberg 535 shoots great with a .670 and my 835 likes the .675. The 835 is backbored and so is this gun that's why I am going with the .675.

I'd just go with a factory full if using TSS out of a 2.25 oz TSS load. Thats close to 900 #9 pellets, right?
Yeah it is 889 according to the companies website. I just like the uniformity and the lack of flyers I get with the Indian Creeks. I am not a 60-70 yard turkey guy 40 is my max range but I do like the density you get with TSS and at 40 yards if I flinch or the bird moves I have a little more room for error and a dead bird instead of a wounded one. No such thing has to dead lol.
