All they have to do is stay in the truck. You don't even need a permit to hog hunt at night from a public road. They do it here all the time. They literally shot at my house doing it. OChunter says he scans other peoples property at night from the road "keep up with the hogs".
 
Overton County definitely has issues, as do others. It is still illegal to take shots on other people's property without permission. I would assume scanning would not be illegal, just like looking in the daylight with your eyes isn't. OC has the rich guy that raises wild hogs to turn out or sell, TWRA is well aware but does nothing about it. Money seems to matter more than the spread of hogs in the area. It's literally a big enough operation that you can see it on aerial imagery but yet nothing is done.

Scanning is the same as spotlighting. No difference whatsoever. It's a poachers wet dream that they cant do anything to stop it. It says in the hunting guide that it isn't legal. They can stop the spotlighters but all the scum now uses thermal. Never had poaching problems until they started letting them road hunt at night with thermals. Stalking is also a crime in all 50 states. Nothing says creeper weirdo quite like watching other people at their homes at night with thermals.

Where in the law books do they state it's legal to thermal hunt from the road? why do you keep repeating nonsense? ever been sued for slander before?

Interesting, I did find it in the hunting guide as illegal. TWRA doesn't define shooting hogs as hunting though. I'm not sure a good attorney could sort this one out 😂 what a mess.

Why do you keep chiming in when you clearly have no idea of the legal mess you are talking about? I live it, you do not. They cannot stop them from road hunting at night with thermals. Have you ever heard of a loophole in the law? I don't know how much clearer i can make it for you. They can't make a case so it doesn't matter what their regulations say if they can't enforce them!!!! Sue away!!!

And for the record i typed that it isn't legal. You just misread what i typed before your threats to sue.

Its not bullshit. We had another truck shoot last night about 4:30 am. The neighbor called me and i went and looked at the tracks in the field. That's the thrid one that has shot from the road at night this year. That we even know. We are the ones sick of the BULLSHIT!
