What is a good one to get? I am tired of my cameras and stands being stolen from private property. I am thinking about dropping some money and buying a camera that instantly sends pictures to my email. That way at least I know who it is and can do something about it. Just wondering if anyone has used one. What are the likes and dislikes? Thanks.

The Covert Special Ops Code Black has probably been the most popular one. I have a pair of them and like them. However, you need pretty good signal from AT&T at the location of the camera for it to work well. I expect there will be some new cellular camera models introduced for 2014.

Yes there is a charge, but it can be as low as $5 a month to have 200 pictures sent to you.

AT&T:
$20/month for unlimited texts
$10/month for 1000 texts
$5/month for 200 texts

If there are certain months where you don't want to use the service, you can let it expire and very easily start it up again later. This time of year I am not paying the monthly fee to get pictures. I'll put funds in my account and get it going again in a couple of months.

We have three and it's awesome downfall is on windy days like today, I am getting tons of pics of branches/leaves.

Love EM though!

Maybe I worded that wrong. Will it send a picture of a guy that walks up to it and steals my card? Pecker head stole 4-5 of them last year.

If he triggers the camera and gets caught in the photo, then yes it will text you the picture if the camera is functioning properly. It's a picture not a video, so you'll just have a picture of him in front of the camera and he could still deny that he took anything.

You could catch a dirt bag like that by putting out a camera where you'll know he'll find it. Then put a second camera up high in a nearby tree and aim it down at the other camera. Run the second camera in video mode and you'll have the loser on video opening your other camera and stealing the SD card.
