He neglects to mention that many UNION contracts and Gubment contracts are tied to the minimum wage. So a Gubment/union employee would automatically get a raise if the minimum wage goes up regardless of their pay rate, job performance, or profitability of the company.
That is why SEIU and other unions always side with raising the minimum wage.
