I have "some" tools but I am young and lacking a lot.

I also have a 450.00 gift card to Lowes.

What are some must have tools and/or power tools?

Hoping to go shopping there this weekend. Help me out, sure I'll forget something.

Thanks!

Invest in a GOOD cordless drill set. I've got a Porter Cable, and it's by far one of the best tool purchases I've ever made.

Yup.

Do you have a specific line of work in mind, or just general "handyman" tools?

I'd say a full socket set, Metric & Imperial sizes, with Allen and Safety-Torx heads

Well, I own a boat usually....get something different every few years.

I have wrench/ ratchet sets already, lawnmower, backpack blower, and edger.

Pretty much any and all handyman tools

There are some great deals to be had at lowes with porter cable and kobalt tools. What you get will be determined by what you are wanting to do. I do a lot of woodworking and carpentry. You can get a cordless porter cable tool package including a drill, circular saw and reciprocating saw, hammer, tool belt, squares, drill bits, etc. with that amount. They have a 10" kobalt compound miter with a radial arm on it for a good price too.

Of course, if you are like me, that gift card will cost you an extra $500 before you get out of there.

I walked out with a Ported Cable Circular for $100,smoked the Black & Decker last weekend. Realy need a 13" Planer, but I'll have to get approval from the Finance Comittee.
