Was walking into my stand and came up on a group of doe (I think). They saw me before I saw them an blew at me before running off (in the direction of my stand). I slowly, and quietly started my trip to my stand again. As I got there, they had stopped 10 yards from the stand and as I approached all I saw was flags running off.
I hunted for another 4 1/2 hours and did not see a thing.
If you spook them going in, what do you do? Pray for a miracle or when things settle down would they come back?
What is even worse is that after not seeing anything in the stand, on my way out I jumped another 3 deer headed to the truck.
I really think the wind was not in my favor that day. May have been my biggest problem with entry to the stand.
