Where can you buy the kind of carpet or felt they typically put in gun safes.
I just need to know where to look or what to look for but the better the price the better.

if its not for display purpose and you just want to keep things from being scratched, just go to tool department at lowes or even sears and get you a roll of the tool box liner, cut to fit works great for sitting things on and not getting or causing scratches

The correct answer, my wife informed me, is Joanne's.
It's some sewing hobby chain and I looked it up online, apparently a great chance they have that and more.....

It is just red felt..I have built many of them when I worked ..making custom cabinets.

So you just get at a fabric shop or online?

Felt will work fine. Check out Hancock fabrics, I got mine a long time ago and still doing the job.

Oh. Since I didn't measure, I bought some, uh, extra, yah, extra. Amazing how many uses thick felt has.

Wait, wait... so you get on here for advice, complain that it's not fast enough, get three recommendations, then ditch us for your wife?

Just wanted to know I'm following the plot here o-0

Go old school - use some shag carpet ;)

Maybe you should offer to go put it for him too.
nice 70's carpet, maybe some leopard skin too

Too far to drive for most projects but if Leader is dead set on Leopard Skin and Shag Carpet I'll make the drive and help a brother out :D

Heck if you're gonna do this lets go all out! I'd saz Zebra print on the walls and bear skin on the floor......hmmmmmmmmm got me thinking about decorating my own now ;)

I built a consumable liquid resting place thing when I was younger. Padded the front and cushiony edge with for real imitation Zebra,(I wanted the largest size) and those cool sticker things that have a big round head with a lot of flat sides. It was classy. Don't discount Zebra.

Joanns has A TON of fabric and stuff. My mom is a seamstress and i've had to go there 100,000 times when I was younger.

Hobby Lobby too. Being they are a christian based store I like going there for certain projects and stuff I need.
