had a pretty solid zero at 300 yards and wanted to check my JBM generated dope a little farther out and it is pretty dang close,,from 300 yards I dialed in 8.5 minutes and sent three 130 VLD`s on there way,,just a tad under 2 inches at 625 yards may well be as good a group as I ever fired off the ground from a bipod,,

I think my barrel likes the 130 Berger VLD and 42 grs H4350

You was not kidding when you said the coal was long. Cant be much bullet in the case. Great group. I wish we were close so we could shoot our 6.5's together.

Yep, that is an accurate weapon and fantastic shooting.

How much case prep you doing now and did you observe any difference in results that would tell you, this PAID off where that did not?

You following any bullet seating procedures like get it started, rotate 1/4, repeat etc?

My BIL tells me no single thing he does at the bench is noticeable. But together all the case prep and bullet seating steps pay off in these very tight groups at long range.

I didnt even size brass first load,,I full length size every loading with Redding Full Length dies after it being once fired with .288 bushing and seat with Forester mic seater die,,only prep I do is trim to length at 1.840 every other load,,I prime with a tool an older shooter friend gave me 35 years ago..about all I do is tumble my brass ever loading and weigh ever powder charge exactly the same,,from trial and error it seems to like to be jammed .002 best..
