Well, gonna take on a big one for the minnow this year.

Gonna pull the entire floor up, replace it, put new carpet and re-mount the plate for the seats.
Should be fun. :D

Is that the garret lake boat ? I did an old 86 model bass tracker i used to own. New carpet, beefed up cross members, and tightened up the rivets. Used to fish the heck out of that old boat.

I owned a 'glass 12 foot sears boat. I plywooded the forward 1/2 so I could stand on it, like a real fisherman. Bought a seat and a stand and installed that, I was big-timing for sure. Had green indoor-outoor carpet. I noticed pretty quick that where I attached the seat base was flexing and when I took the carpet off it you could see the plywood was failing.

Lay a coupla layers of fiberglass to protect the plywood-top and bottom.

I was fishing a pond with my cousin in Lexington SC a couple years ago out of a boat the pond owner left down there year round. We were catching fish left and right. I had one nail a texas rig and when I set the hook, over I went seat and all.

If you can get some aluminum plate or angle to bolt under the wood, it'll help a lot.

Silverfox,
That's what I am planning to do.
Seat plate, 3/4" plywood then another quarter inch plate all bolted together.
It won't move any time soon when I get done.
