Wife's debit card number got stolen. Some jackwagon tried to charge $600 in Texas and $3.28 in New York today. Fortunately, Visa denied the charges instantly. She gets a new card and PIN. This could have been VERY BAD. We are out nothing, no inconvenience at all. Kudos to the processing company for being on guard. I hope the sucker who stole her number chokes on it. Stupid thieves.

Had that happen to my wife a few years ago. She got taken for over $2000 before the bank put a hold on her card. It was out of FL though. Thank god she got it back tho. They even had pictures of the guy using her card at a ATM but he was wearing a ski mask. Never was caught that we know of.

My bank card got charged with $700 worth of pre paid cell phones, a jeweled set of fake teeth and a big gold pimp cup by someone in Nashville a couple years ago. Took me a couple weeks to get it all fixed and my money back.

Happened to me too, while I was on the road of all things. I had just charged a room in Ohio, they call my Wife next day and are questioning that charge and a couple of others odd ball charges. I'm convinced the card got compramised at the Hotel.

Couple years ago my someone spent two nights in a Jersey casino hotel. Must have been a nice room and had room service. Both charges were in excess of $900.
