Outfitters say southcentral Wyoming antelope, deer and elk herds are dying off in huge numbers and that predictions that half of the antelope in parts of the state could die this winter probably fall short. It’s more likely to be closer to 80%.

I've always had the utmost respect for the game I pursue and I think most true hunters do . Thanking God first and foremost even for the air I breathe. Hunters in whole give respect moreso than these (PETA , anti hunters etc ) trouble makers do !

Tough, but how nature weeds out the weak. With 50-70% mortality rate I sure wouldn't be planning an antelope or deer hunt anytime soon. Have a 2025 elk hunt in the planning stage with scouting Sept 2024. Will see then what herds look like. Will push out as necessary.

Hunters are conservationists, plain and simple. We pay more, care more and do more than anyone else as a group. Hunters are the reason much of wildlife exists in the numbers they do today!

CO has already announced tag cuts in the areas just South of the major snow pack in WY. 40% tag reduction in high lighted areas.
