Yep, almost stepped on one next to the creek the other day. He got lucky and got away though.

They are pretty easy to kill with a stick to their soft head. I don't usually kill stuff I can't eat but I will make an exception so I don't meet Mr. Noshoulders one night in October walking to my stand.

I live on 32 acres with 2 ponds and a creek with lots of woods. I have yet to see but 2 copperheads and lots of king snakes. Guess I am lucky so far.
