Could have been worse. When the daughter asked “ do you know him?” Mom could have said. “ why yea, he’s your daddy”.

That would be bad

I went to a funeral years ago for a woman I knew. My buddy was with me and he had dated the girl years ago. At the funeral there was a 15 year old girl there who was short with shockingly blond hair, blue eyes, and a pug kinda nose. I asked who she was. Was told she was the deceased woman’s daughter. She was the spitting image of the buddy I was there with and he had dated the mom 15 years earlier. No one said anything but everyone kept looking at my friend and the girl.
