I believe the vehicle should have been locked at least!

I would feel terrible knowing someone was killed with my gun even if they did steal it. I'm guilty a lot of leaving my vehicle unlocked at home with my pistol in it. I need to start locking it.

??? I own 9 pistols and 5 revolvers! I don't carry them all. So I leave them at home every time I go out. What am I guilty of? When I carry, I never leave one in the vehicle; I am carrying it! Don't bother ever looking for them BS signs. If it is concealed no one should ever know.

In some states he would be guilty if gun and ammo are not locked it separate safes.

You and I (and many others) would feel just as bad if someone stole a hammer out of our truck and killed ppl with it. As for the locking up part, I lock my stuff 99.999999999999% of the time and 98% of the time never leave a gun in there because of the value etc.

From reading the article I get the feeling they all lived inside an apartment complex and the "near by parking lot" was also part of that complex. If that;'s so then people living in them never get sued or they get it thrown out of court.

Even though I lock everything I would never leave a firearm in my vehicle . Not to say I haven't forgotten a sidearm before in a locked vehicle but I always remember come night time through my self check off . Hate it for the families but nothing and I mean nothing surprises me any more . Prayers sent for the families involved no matter how dumb they are .
