really didn't expect to tag out in a week, well maybe it was a secret goal once I killed bird #2 on easter sunday, but it was all wishful thinking until today at 3 pm. I thought today would be a reality check and I would come home empty handed. I got on this lone gobbler and called him in twice - the first time the gun was facing forward and he came in from the right, so when he left I circled around and setup in a new spot and called, he gobbled a few times and then came in quietly and died. Full story of the hunt in long beards & spurs forum.

In my younger days, I tagged out every year the first week, then sat out the rest of the season. Congrats, you might as well head to Missouri. The older guys have more control, we like to hunt longer. lol

Congrats! Now that you have 5 weeks of no turkey killing maybe you should open "Catman-do Guide Service" and take those of us who are getting schooled by these dang birds. ;)
