Anyone plant them as food plot, I have about half an acre I thought of planting for myself knowing deer would eat them, but maybe they won't devastate them being half acre
A lot of guys use the actual sweet potato itself to bait with in eastern NC where a lot of sweet potatoes are grown. After they harvest a field, you can go pick up barrels and barrels of "culls" that were left in the field.
I've never heard much mention of them eating the actual plant itself.
