It's called a "Wake Up Call"....apparently, this mother is oblivious. If it worked for Adam Sandler, it'll work for anyone.

Seriously though....we have a smelly woman at work, and she's nearly impossible to be around anymore.

"The Department of Children's Services says there is no open case on the matter."

If her hygiene is bad enough to result in missing 24 days of school; then there is a problem at home worthy of investigating.

So now we punish an 8 yr old for there parents actions? What is this world coming to?

How do you handle that? Her mom doesn't think anything is wrong. Is this child abuse, or neglect?

We had a coworker who smelled. The manager put together a "basket" of soap, shampoo, toothpaste and such and told him to cut the crap. He still had hygene problems even afterwards.

Either way, it's embarrasing. The little girl has to be embarrased to no end.

probably nether legally. But taking a water hose to her parents might not be assault to a jury ether. I'm not talking about squirting them ether

I worked with a woman who had this problem. She later died from a condition and the odor was part of the symptoms. Hope it's just poor hygiene and mama gets a visit from authorities or MD.

That little girl may never get over that kind of treatment. This makes me so mad.

I agree. She's marked for life already. Kids are BRUTALLY honest and have long memories.

What if the kid has some sort of condition? I've seen at my work before, healthy and "clean" but still had a odor and the lady was sent home several times. Don't be so quick to cast stones. Could be more to it, the article did say they bathed?
