Suggestions to see more bucks

Working with as many clubs as I do what I find time and again is there are one or two hunters who always kill the old bucks. They will kill more old bucks than all the other hunters in the club combined. For them, it isn't just luck.
Do you think part of it is time invested?

I think it's knowledge of their quarry, attention to detail, and a focus on hunting only the oldest bucks. Many have said it before, but I'll repeat it, mature bucks are almost a different species of animal. They do not act like younger bucks. If you want to regularly kill mature bucks you have to hunt specifically for mature bucks. That's a different practice than just hunting for any "good" buck.
