Does anyone believe they are going to listen to us hunters. They don't even listen to their officers that are out in the field. I use to send in suggestions but it is like p-----g in the wind.
Remember the time TWRA publicly declared that they had no input from the public supporting a bear season in my area? Then I posted the emails, the survey, the public meeting, the group that was formed just to support the hunt…… yeah that's what I think about this process.

I used to get those emails. I gave my honest thoughts several times. Been several years since I have gotten one from them.
I sent in this:
Please fix the Yuchi draw hunts. What used to be my and my family's favorite hunt has been made far less fun and appealing. Although I understand the need for higher doe harvest numbers, a two day hunt with earn-a-buck is not fair to the hunters. A couple of suggestions are below:
-Allow successful draw hunt applicants to come to one of the earlier doe only hunts, or another designated hunt, to harvest their antlerless deer before either sex hunting on a subsequent date.
Or
-Lengthen the buck hunts with earn-a-buck requirements to three days
Either of these options should provide ample opportunity for a successful and enjoyable hunt. You could then leave the later hunts as either sex so that a hunter could still harvest another antlerless deer if they chose to do so.
On statewide/general season hunts:
-Please DO NOT consider any suggestions to expand muzzleloader season to include the use of single shot rifles.
On CWD areas:
-Please provide access to expedited testing and results to encourage harvest and less waste of meat
