Strep throat!!!!

Kicked my arse. If you have never had it or not in a while, pray you don't get it.
Woke up Thurs morn with a bit of a sore throat and tired, took kids to school came home got in bed and stayed there literally for 48 hrs and slept.
Went to clinic and got meds yesterday back to bed until this am and I am much better. My wife had to be in LA for business over weekend so luckily my MIL came and took kids to school Fri and kept them the weekend. Strep can be scary especially with little ones and it is highly contagious and dangerous. Thanks for grandparents too!!!!

I had it a couple years back and I really thought I was gonna die before I could get to the dr. I got something now and hope its not strep.

I used to get it all the time. If you do get it, insist on a shot of penicillin if you aren't allergic. You will feel better in 12 hrs or less.

She gave me amoxicillin 2000 mg/day, it started knocking it down pretty quick.

I started getting it back in high school. So for the last 13 years or so, I've had it at least once and sometimes twice a year.

Hope you continue to get better. I used to get it every year as a kid, but I haven't gotten it the last few *knock on wood*
