Strange this weekend

I work Saturdays and don't hunt on the Lord's Day, but it was strange to see that no one else hunted on the leases around me either. Nobody on the property next to mine that has four gobblers on it. No one on the the adjacent lease next to it where there's usually 5 guys that hunt all opening week. Nobody on the 800 acre lease I drive by e wry day a couple miles down the road. I did not see one hunter in my area this weekend. Don't know if they just didn't come because numbers have been so bad the last several years or what, but normally I would have seen 10-15 hunters just on those three leases.
