I only got 2 hours left so I'm either sitting here or moving soon.
I came up along a fence inside the edge of some thick woods. Can't see or shoot much past 40 yards max.
I found a dip in the fence with fresh tracks going to it from different directions. Other side I can't hunt and it's got a couple small blocks of woods and pastures.
I got up to a patch of cedars about 150 yards up the fence where I can sit down and see pretty good.
I bumped 3 deer off the bed in some bushes right by the fence, and now am sitting here thinking it will be a good spot. Fresh tracks here too.
Would you stay put where you know deer were bedding, or go back to the first fence crossing? Deer did not blow or stomp, just got up and ran into pasture and angled like they might come back into the woods farther down the fence.
