I see poo, fresh poo, corn, rubs, and tracks but I've been to this public spot in the morning and evening and have yet to see any actual deer. Am I just hunting a "crossing".? Should I move on?

Okay, just curious because I don't get down there�didn't know they were still doing sharecropping of corn. I would suggest finding a location that will force deer to concentrate their movement down to a narrow area such as a funnel or pinch point in between areas that they may be bedding and feeding.

I'll try it again in the evening and stay thru sunset this time then hike out in the dark. I had to leave a little early last time cause I forgot my headlamp.
