I booked a camp site a few months back on pickwick totally unaware that the weather would be less than ideal for fishing, alas we loaded up anyway. We made the best out of a couple cold nights in the tent and were able to reel two nice sized blues in.

I honestly think he had more fun catching the skip jack earlier in the week...:rolleyes:

Not a bad way to spend the week!

We had some fun with these two and then sent them back to the depths of the TN River....

We catch skipjack for bait when we striper fish below Pickwick Dam. I have to agree with the little guy, it's a lot of fun on an ultralight.

The funny part about this trip is he will remember it as the great adventure. Every year he tells the story the nights in the tent will get colder and those giant catfish will get bigger. My son, who's 24 now, remembers adventures we had when he was little a little more vividly than the trips where the weather was perfect and there were no hiccups.
