Over the last couple days it seems like all my shotgun does is gather rust. About a quarter of the shotguns metal is bare, which is very shiny when duck hunting and will rust like it was meant to. So my question here is that do any of the spray on gun coats (aluma-hyde II, Krylon fusion, etc.) work effectively at preventing rust?? I saw here a good information. Thanks.

I spray painted a couple shotguns I turkey hunt with because of surface rust. Works well. Catman has an effective tutorial in the do it yourself section. There are also some
On Old Gobbler and some very good ones on youtube.

I put a Duracoat finish on a blued steel muzzleloader a while back. Overall, an easy application process and it's held up amazingly well so far.
