Thats exactly what I said in the other thread. Except I always recommend to those getting a Will to put some money aside that their family can access to pay the attorney and legal fees for probate court, as well as for funeral and final expenses.
Also, in TN, a deceased person with a Will who had "jointly owned" bank accounts, jointly owned real estate, and jointly owned vehicles, those items usually avoid going through probate.

A few years ago I walked into an estate lawyer‘s office with intent of a will and a few other things. Walked out a few visits later with a living trust, advanced directive, POA, quit claim deed etc. etc. and peace of mind that my estate, what little there is would be handled fairly and not drug out for years in probate. It costs a little more on the front end but I was blessed enough to find a good conservative estate lawyer that knows his stuff!
