It's an older 760 30-06. He wanted one like mine and found it a few years ago in great shape that made for an early Christmas present. It shoots very well.

He doesn't need ol Dad to sit with him any more. I hung onto it as long as I could though. It makes me sad and proud at the same time. I was sure excited when I heard him shoot. That makes 3 bucks in a row that he's killed by himself. He's been ready for the past several years to sit by himself, but Dad wasn't ready yet.
