Youngest graduated high school yesterday.
Next stop, US Coast Guard.
He’s gonna cut his hair 2 days before😀
All those years coaching him in hockey, going to lacrosse games are over.
He’s gonna be alright.
Wife retired from teaching yesterday too.
She was done.
Besides having ataxia, she did not like the way the education system was goin.
It was just too much.
Now we apply for disability.

Congrats on getting your boy out of highschool and on to bigger and better opportunities. Also congratulations to your better half for reaching retirement and my wife is also a school teacher and both my in-laws retired from education. I tell them all the time that I’d be arrested for beating some smart mouth kid if I was a teacher.

Hope your feelin better👍
During the Covid days up here in Crook County, Illinois my wife taught remotely.
It made me want to sneak into Mexico seeing the nut jobs that walk these streets.

I am feeling 10x better for sure. Still get a little tired moving around a bunch but that’s expected. Yes remote learning was zero fun at my household cause my boys were doing it but also my wife had 3 different subjects and with 3 different grade levels that she was teaching. Needless to say she was READY for the kids to get back in school.

Opening a new chapter in your life (you and your immediate supervisor, that is). 👍

Just remember this: when anyone asks how empty nesting is going, the correct answer is always "It's GREAT!"

We’ve been dealing with her health since we got married, actually before.
For better or worse.
It’s funny but when we leave Chicago for a trip to our Tennessee house, she feels 100% better.
Life sucks up here……
I have an uncle (my mom's brother) who lives in Chicago. He comes and visits and stays 2 weeks a year. He absolutely loves it here. He brings his guns and has a blast. Always buys a bunch of ammo because he says it's so much higher there. He hates Chicago and would move here tomorrow if it wasn't for his kids and grandkids there.
