My hunting property is only 23 acres but is it positioned pretty well bordering other good deer habitat, only moderate habitat for turkeys. I keep and maintain food plots, however without diligence the edges of these plots will just in a couple years grow up so thick they are not suitable for Turkey passage.
This past late winter I focused on one plot strip particularly removing brush from the edges and ended up with 3 big piles to burn. Today I watched this group of 6 jakes pass right through the area where I concentrated my efforts…instant gratification and a happy ending!
Now if they can just survive the next two weeks….
