Saturday evening, my son was driving home and was in the Cheatham WMA area when he saw a truck pulling a duck boat that was loaded down with decoys. Could it be that someone was going off the season split of years past and not the new start date this year? I always thought that could be a possibility if they went off tradition and not looking up current regulations.

Today it surely felt like some old-timers must have blasted all the birds on Saturday.

Surely TWRA officers would had to have been bouncing around WMAs and TVA listening for gunshots this past weekend. Even camped out in the parking lot to wave people off from pulling in.
