Taking our annual trip to Tim's Ford before too long.
I have decided I am taking my boat this year.
I normally just fish off the bank for whatever.
I have caught a few small, 12-14" smallmouth on a rooster tail.
Any tips that are better than just beating the bank with a whacky worm?

I hope to get me another, or a few more, TARP yellow bass while I am there too. :D

My Tims Ford "go to" lures have either been paralleling crank baits off the gravel banks or 1/8th oz. fox tail jigs with pork rind off the points. BUT, free swimming LARGE shiners or tuffies can be great fun as well!

Depending when your headed down. I have caught more 4 lb smallmouth on a carolina rig lizard on gravel banks than anything on Tims Ford. Wacky worm works great also. Cranks work good if they are feeding good.

Awesome thanks!
The lizard is my all time favorite go to bait.
