What is the best airgun to use for squirrels?
I would love to have one that would actually hit where you aim more than just every once in a while. LOL
I think that with a "solvent trap" would be a lot of fun and productive!

AirForce Condor SS in .22 caliber would be the ticket. It is capable of 1250 FPS with 1 inch groups at 75 yards. (not likely with out a lot of scope adjustment and tuning)

My Texan SS .45 caliber is capable of 1 inch groups after the pressure drops to around 2700 PSI. Above 2700 Psi it tends to shoot some odd groups. So I always pump mine to 2700 and no higher.

Sumatra 2500 carbine .22 cal is a good hunting rifle and very powerful, not to mention having the metal rotary mag is a plus also

I have the Sumatra 2500 carbine in .25 cal and love it, even put a suppressor on it and man did that make a difference in the bark!

You looking for a break barrel or pre-charged pneumatic? PCP's are usually more accurate for long distance (and easier to shoot)

Diana RWS 34, .22 cal, it shoots subsonic so no sonic crack, accurate every shot, it likes Gamo Redfire pellets.
At 20 yds, you can put every shot in a quarter
Approximately $300.

I bought a Benjamin Kratos in .22 and it is freaking awesome. Once I got it scoped, tweaked and dialed in was shooting 6 shot groups at 50 yards you could lay a dime over. The Kratos is 3000 max PSI PCP. Mine performs best at 2700 PSI with the H&N Baracuda .22 cal 21.14 grain pellets.

The Kratos has a fully shrouded and baffled barrel and is really quite. It is not nearly as loud as my Texan .457 SS. I shoot my Kratos down in my basement occasionally and wife can only hear the target impact.

I have a Gamo Swarm Whisper that's really good, and only costs around $150.
It came with a scope that's pretty blurry, but it's a 22 cal pellet rifle.
What sold me on it, over the Ruger model, is the 9 shot rotary magazine.

My Son has killed quite a few squirrels with it. When work was shut down, I killed about 50 of the rats that moved into the dumpster. 😀
The 22 pellet is way more effective than the 177.

I've got an Umarex Guantlet in 25 caliber. It is extremely accurate with H&N Crow Magnum and just shoots around 850 fps or so which makes it quiet. I've shot squirrels several times with others around that didn't know what was going on. Ive used it for squirrels, possums, racoons and bullfrogs.

My texan lss will hold 1" groups when shot at 3400 psi. It groups pretty much no matter the air pressure. Just have to adjust tuner depending on weight of bullet.

When you get a good one, they're good. I've had some earlier models that were tack drivers at 30-40+ yards but if you ever messed with them, like take the stock off and put it back on, it would shift the POI. It was something about how the air tube would rest inside the stock. Different pressure in the tube would effect the barrel then effect the POI. I tried spacers to free float everything as well as other things. I got frustrated and sold them. Bought a Hatsan with synthetic stock. I'm not sure about the new generation of the Marauder.
