are simply a hard bullet to beat,,after shooting 4-500 dollars worth of Lapua and Berger bullets in the Savage 110 FCP-HSP 338 Lapua the 300 Sierra and 86 grs H1000 at 2670 fps has proved to be the most consistant and best grouping bullet,,

I always try the highest BC bullet they make and work my way back to the Sierra and without fail in just about every rifle I own the SMK is the best,,

I've always thought if you want to see just how good your rifle will shoot. Shoot SMKs.

the high BC numbers of the AMax and the various VLD bullets is outstanding but I have never had much luck with them in factory barrels with long throats and short magazines,,

My .300 win mag love the 190 SMKs and 81 grains of H-1000

I can get a little more speed with Retumbo in the 338 with 300 gr bullets,,but H1000 is so much cleaner burning and seems very stable,I get very little velocity changes in different weather conditions,,

Man I thought of you yesterday when I was looking at my new midway flyer and saw the cost of 338 lapua bullets ouch!

yeah and they had Lapua 338 brass listed for 99$$ a hundred,,they wont honor misprints..last hundred I got was 239.99
