Shower question

Ok guys I've been a carpenter for years and never had to deal with one of these 4 piece showers. The guy that put it in the first time used regular silicone to seal the panels and it's been less than a year since it was put in and all the Ali one is peeling off of it. I've got to take the shower out and move it to another bathroom. My question is what is the best sealant to use on it other than regular silicone cause it don't work? Thanks!

3M brand 100% silicone should seal off the Tennessee River if applied properly. Sealed surfaces have got to be clean when applied though.

Ok. I don't know what type of silicone the previous installer used but you can just peel it right off. I didn't know if there was a specific kind of sealant that was suppose to be used or not. I've always used silicone on other bathroom projects and it work fine.

Sounds like poor surface prep.
