My personal "all around" choice would have to be a Remington 1100. Both wood or synthetic options. Get a Rem choke barrel and you're ready to hunt pretty much anything you want.

I really like my Stoeger m3500, i can shot light dove loads all the way up to 3.5” all together and no issues. I have shot cases through it in the past few years and it leep rolling.

Check out a Retay Great guns for quite bit less than a Benelli. Basically same gun imo. Couple I’ve seen patterned shot extremely poa/poi.

Decide what kind of action you want first. Semi auto has lot of advantages. Other actions cost less though.
