Mossberg 930, Stoeger m3000 or a beretta 390
I'm looking at getting one of these semi auto shotguns and was wondering if i could get some feedback from some guys that had them.
I will be using it for trap shooting, turkey hunting and rabbit hunting. Will be used alot for trap though.

Really looking at the mossberg right now.

Walmart has a beretta 390 on sale for 449 i think. Is this a good deal? Is this a good shotgun?
Thanks

I posted this in the gun forum too but I figured it might see more traffic here.

Walmart did have the Mossberg 935 on sale for 349 but it is not the best for trap shooting but is a good deal if you want a semi auto that shoots 3.5" shells. Mine will cycle the heavy target loads in 2 3/4 but not the light stuff.

IF you are going to shoot a lot of Trap I would assume you may be reloading. In that case, I'd not want an auto-loader. Too much trouble picking up empty shells. There is a device I've seen some Trap shooters put on their guns though that causes the empty hull to hang in the ejection port so you can pick it up by hand but this obviously turns your gun into a single shot. You'd still get the reduced recoil of the gas operated gun though.

Other than that, I can't give a recommendation for any of these guns as I don't own any semi-auto shotguns.

Im gonna have to look into the wally world sale on the 390's.. Those are some fine guns right there!

After the crap I just dealt with from Beretta, I won't be purchasing another product of theirs. I used to consider them amongst the top manufacturers, but with their poor customer service about my handgun grip, I'm done with them. Furthermore, I wouldn't trust the quality of any brand that sells through WalMart. I'd go with the Mossberg through a reputable dealer.

This is the only thing that worries me about the Beretta. I have read some terrible stories about their customer service.

Any more input on these shotguns?

Get the beretta 390.. I have one.. im also a trap coach and the other two you mentioned will not hold up trap shooting.. they will fy apart after a couple of thousand rounds if not sooner... been doing this for a few years now and have seen too many lower end guns fail on the line.. they would be fine for turkey or light dove hunting.. but not trap or skeet..

^^^^^^PLEASE HEED THIS ADVICE!!!! I could not agree more! I am also around shotguns just about every weekend, and see shotguns put through their paces. I see guns shot A LOT and I hate to see people buy guns and be disappointed. Out of the three listed, I'd put up with poor Customer service from beretta before I even considered the other two. If it jams once, its one time to much. Friends don't let friends buy P-O-S shotguns!!!
